ARS20,000 banknote
The new ARS20,000 banknote has been released into circulation, and will be gradually distributed through the network of bank branches and ATMs across the country.
The banknote has the portrait of Juan Bautista Alberdi on the obverse, and a replica of the house where the lawyer, writer, journalist, philosopher, economist, diplomat and politician was born on the reverse.

Design
Juan Bautista Alberdi is one of the most influential figures of the 19th century and a fundamental pillar in the intellectual shaping of Argentina. His most famous work, Bases and Starting Points for the Political Organization of the Argentine Republic, laid the foundations for the Constitution of 1853.
Alberdi was a great thinker and patriot whose vision shaped the thinking of our nation. Throughout his life, he stayed true to his ideals of justice, freedom and peace. His legacy continues to inspire present and future generations.

The obverse displays the portrait of Juan Bautista Alberdi, who inspired the National Constitution of 1853.
Reverse
