MSMEs received ARS1.63 trillion through the Credit Line for Productive Investment implemented by the BCRA

The Credit Line for Productive Investment (LFIP), implemented by the BCRA, is the main source of credit for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The loans granted under the LFIP, since its implementation to the end of January, accrued disbursements amounting to about ARS1,628 billion. The disbursements in January increased 8.4% against the end of December.

As of now, more than 215,000 companies have had access to loans under preferred terms within the framework of the LFIP. About 84% of total disbursements was channeled to finance working capital, and the rest, to finance investment projects.

The LFIP contributed to the growth of loans supporting commercial activities. The amounts disbursed from November 2020 to January 2022 through this credit line represented more than 60% of the financing commitments through promissory notes, the instruments used to borrow funds through this credit line.

The preferred terms of financing granted under the LFIP resulted in a year-on-year growth of about 15% in the stock of loans to MSMEs at constant prices.
