Relief Measures for Agricultural Producers Falling under the Emergency Law

The Board of the BCRA decided today to streamline financing channeled to the productive sector affected by drought. The measures adopted include the extension of the terms for classifying debtors and the chance to access subsidized credit lines.

The agricultural producers falling under the scope of the Agricultural Emergency Law will enjoy more flexible terms under the Debtors’ Classification regulation up to December 31, 2023.

The new regulation extends for forty-five days the terms of the first three debtors’ categories as a way to provide relief for agricultural producers. This favorable treatment will improve in no way the category to which the debtor belonged prior to the emergency declaration, or after the date this treatment ceases to be in effect.

Also, producers subject to an emergency declaration who have sold their soybean stocks may access all credit lines offered in the financial system.
