Data Catalog of Monetary and Financial Statistics

The BCRA makes available the data catalog of monetary and financial statistics, which lists the information released through standardized tables of statistical series available in plain format (.txt file).

The catalog is published in two formats:

1. A file with “.txt” extension containing a description of the series name, the notes on methodology and its periodicity for each data series (latest update 2021).

2. A file in Excel format is intended for users to filter information for simplifying the search for series. To this end, columns specifying the attributes of each series are added to the information already available in the .txt file.

The attributes supplement each other: it is necessary to search the characteristics detailed in each column simultaneously to have an accurate definition of a given variable.
