The President of the BCRA, Miguel Ángel Pesce, took part in the G20 summit and talked about crypto assets, digital currencies of central banks and non-bank financial institutions. He attended the meeting in Bengaluru, India, and participated in the panel International financial architecture, sustainable finance and infrastructure.
At the summit, speakers talked about inflation, slowdown in growth and war. Pesce highlighted “the importance of the Indian presidency as it brings to light the risks that financial globalization has regarding one of our major objectives as an international community: inclusive growth.”
He also added that “emerging and developing economies have a long-standing tradition of abrupt financial liberalization that raises tension on the currency, causes inflationary acceleration, and more inequality and poverty.” And he also highlighted “the importance of being creative in terms of expanding monetary and fiscal space to deepen growth, income distribution and job creation processes.”
