January 9, 2020. The Board of the BCRA reduced today the floor of the interest rate on liquidity bills (LELIQs) by 3 points, from 55% to 52%.
The decision was adopted according to the progress made in the National Agreement round table, the Agreement on Preserved Prices (Precios Cuidados) and the changes to come on the terms of LELIQs, in search of a new interest rate curve in pesos.
This has been the third reduction approved. The first reduction was on December 19, from 63% to 58%; and the second one, on December 26, from 58% to 55%.
