New Tools to Streamline Interest Calculation for Court Use

The BCRA has developed new tools to streamline calculation using the interest rate for court use. The calculator is already available on the BCRA’s website. Additionally, the hyperlinks related to the interest rate for court use were updated to streamline access. This rate has been included in the API for the Main Variables.

The calculator allows users to calculate interest based on the start date, the end date, and the amount on which it should be calculated.

The API—an interface that enables interaction between programs and apps—efficiently makes this interest rate series accessible to people and institutions using the best available technology.

The interest rate for court use has been published by the BCRA since 1991, as set forth in Press Release P 14290. This interest rate was originally set by Executive Order 941/91, and currently falls within the provisions of Section 768 of the Civil and Commercial Code of Argentina.

This interest rate is calculated based on the yields of time deposits and interest-bearing savings accounts, and has consistently reflected the economic situation for more than 30 years.
