The Central Bank discloses an increased level of statistical information about government bond holdings in financial institutions

The Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) continues including more information in its Statistics Report faithful to its commitment to increase public access to information and to handle management on a transparent fashion.

In this sense, a new table broken down by government bond holdings in financial institutions has been included to supplement such data as have been released since August 17 (public sector loan and deposits holders broken down by jurisdiction and province; and by kind of holder and loans destination, and private sector deposits).

Now this report shows the balance of government bond holdings by the end of the month broken down by political jurisdiction and province of issuer.

The correspondent historical statistical series to come are available since January 1990 and will be updated once a new Statistics Report is issued.

The disclosure of fine grained statistical information contributes to a more transparent financial system, which is one of the huge pillars of the BCRA management.
