The Board of the BCRA has extended up to March 31, 2023 the Credit Line for Productive Investment (LFIP, in Spanish), the main source of credit for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The credit line for MSMEs provides access to loans at subsidized rates for investment projects and financing working capital.
As established in the regulation, financial institutions must allocate to this line at least 7.5% of deposits from the non-financial private sector in pesos, calculated on the monthly average of daily balances as at September 2022.
The extension marks the beginning of a new phase in BCRA’s efforts to continue boosting the sector's production to contribute to economic development and employment creation.
