The BCRA launches the 2024 Money and Banking Conference. The conference will bring together central bank governors, prestigious academics, economists and finance leaders from Argentina and abroad. The Governor of the BCRA, Santiago Bausili, will be the opening speaker, and the Deputy Governor, Vladimir Werning, will be the closing speaker.
The 2024 Money and Banking Conference will focus on the interaction between monetary policy and the fiscal sector, and its importance for determining the inflation path. Speakers will focus on these issues in Argentina’s current context, exploring the lessons learned from successful stabilization plans, and discussing the challenges of the resolution of fiscal dominance over monetary policy for the financial system and the economy as a whole.
The conference will be held fully in person at Palacio Libertad (Sarmiento 151, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires) on October 14 and 15. Admission is free, but space is limited and registration is required. Those interested can now register in the Money and Banking Conference section of the BCRA’s website, where they can also find the agenda and all the information related to the event.
The Money and Banking Conference is part of the BCRA’s academic and outreach initiatives, and seeks to stimulate discussion on macroeconomic, monetary and financial topics.
