The obverse displays, at the center, an image of the Palace of the National Congress with the distinct green color of the imposing building's dome. The copper coating of the dome became green due to exposure to air over time. The year 1983, the commemorated date, and 2023, the year of mintage, appear next to the building. The upper arch reads “REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” (ARGENTINE REPUBLIC) and the lower arch, “RESTAURACIÓN DE LA DEMOCRACIA” (RETURN TO DEMOCRACY).
The reverse shows the Argentine coat of arms and the face value, “UN PESO” (ONE PESO), surrounded by the legend “EN UNIÓN Y LIBERTAD” (IN UNION AND LIBERTY) above, with an exergue of laurel branches.
