To lead, coordinate and oversee the development of economic research works and academic activities which may contribute to the design of the BCRA’s financial and monetary policies.
To lead, coordinate and oversee the development of models geared to easing the construction of the Argentine economic dynamics, the projection of economic variables, and the estimation of policy impacts.
To develop guidelines for the analysis and monitoring of the national and international economic context, the monetary context and the liquidity in the money market.
He graduated in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and holds a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Before taking up his current position at the BCRA, he served as Deputy Manager for the General Management Office and as Economic Research Deputy General Manager. He was also Monetary Policy Strategy and Communication Senior Manager, Economic Research Senior Manager, and Risk Assessment Senior Manager.
Prior to joining the BCRA, he served as Head of Advisors of the Economic Policy Secretariat and as advisor to the Argentine Ministry of Economy.
In addition, he is a professor in the Finance Master’s course at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT). He has lectured in many conferences, both in Argentina and abroad, and has written various papers on international finance.
