To lead, coordinate and oversee both the process for drafting and issuing regulatory standards of the Law on Financial Institutions, the Charter of the BCRA and related provisions, and the management, analysis and monitoring of capital inflows and outflows, other foreign exchange transactions, and foreign trade transactions in order to ensure the compliance with the foreign exchange policy.
To lead, coordinate and oversee activities aimed at analyzing the evolution of financial and capital markets in order to improve the conditions for financial stability.
Marina Ongaro holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
Prior to taking up her current position at the BCRA, she served as Administration and Central Services Deputy General Manager, General Accounting Senior Manager, Foreign Trade and Exchange Senior Manager, and Foreign Trade and Exchange Research and Planning Manager.
Before joining the BCRA, she worked at the National Bureau of International Accounts (Ministry of Economy) developing and implementing methodologies to estimate foreign direct investment as part of the statistics on the balance of payments and international investment position.
