BCRA at Tecnópolis

More Financial Education, More Rights, More Democracy

From July 15 to August 27, the BCRA is taking part in the twelfth edition of Tecnópolis, the largest art, science, and technology fair in Latin America.

The BCRA’s stand brings forth a ludic proposal that focuses on financial inclusion and education, and the celebration of 40 years of democracy in Argentina under the motto “More Financial Education, More Rights, More Democracy.”

The stand seeks to provide accessible information on the tools offered by the financial system, and raise awareness about financial users’ rights and the benefits of banking.

Welcome space: it offers information on the functions and mandates of the BCRA, payments by transfer, universal free accounts, traditional time deposits and early-payment UVA time deposits.

Simulator to make payments by transfer: visitors can make payments by scanning a QR code. They will discover how easy it is to pay by transfer for everyday purchases in neighborhood shops or for other purchases of professional services.

BCRA’s square: a place to meet, learn and experience the trivia game.

BCRA’s trivia game: in a space for collective participation, visitors will be able to learn more about the activities and functions of the BCRA, and about financial tools such as: payments by transfer, universal free accounts, traditional time deposits and early-payment UVA time deposits, in addition to reinforcing concepts on bank security, and financial users’ rights. Tecnópolis

This year, the motto of Tecnópolis is “Collective Power.”

Tecnópolis will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 pm to 7 pm during winter vacation.

From August 3 to August 27, it will be open on Thursdays and Fridays, from 10 am to 6 pm; and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 12 pm to 7 pm.

Admission is free, and booking is not required.

You can open a universal free account. Everybody can open a bank account to make electronic payments, keep their savings and carry out other transactions. Open your bank account just by submitting your ID document at the bank of your choice.

Payments by transfer are easier, safer and faster. Run your bank's app or e-wallet on your phone, scan the QR code of the store or service you want to pay for, and confirm the transaction. Payments are credited immediately on the store's or service provider's account.
