Pesce and Guzmán are the closing speakers at the 2021 Money and Banking Conference

The 2021 Money and Banking Conference, organized by the BCRA, will conclude tomorrow with the fourth panel: Underlying Problems of the Global Economy and Lessons from the Pandemic. The Conference will close tomorrow with the lectures of Miguel Ángel Pesce, President of the BCRA, and Martín Guzmán, Minister of Economy.

Under the heading Macroeconomic Conditions, Growth and Distribution. Underlying Problems of the Global Economy and Lessons from the Pandemic, different speakers have already given lectures in the three previous panels: Barry Eichengreen, Özlem Onaran, Mark Setterfield, Claudio Borio, Stephany Griffith Jones, Annina Kaltenbrunner, Alejandro Díaz de León Carrillo, Roger Edwin Rojas Ulo and Julio Velarde.

The Economic Research Deputy General Management Office of the BCRA led by Germán Feldman, Economic Research Deputy General Manager, is responsible for the organization and the coordination of panels. The 2021 Money and Banking Conference has a digital platform that gathers relevant information (program and speakers’ bios and topics) so that people may have access to the different discussion panels. Presentations will be uploaded to the website every Wednesday of November and will remain available at the platform for the public to have access at any time.
