Cooperation Agreement between BCRA and ANSES

The BCRA asked the Argentine Social Security Administration (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social, ANSES) to provide information, on the basis of which the BCRA’s database will validate natural persons’ information in order to determine their eligibility for purchasing foreign currency for saving.

With this agreement, financial institutions will no longer search the ANSES’s website to get “the negative certification denied”. Instead, the certification will be issued against the BCRA’s database.

The ANSES will share information with the BCRA within the framework of the cooperation agreement, which ensures data protection. The BCRA will also remove the validation set out by Communication A7105 for transfers made between bank accounts.
