Targets and Programs

The Central Bank of Argentina is entrusted with the making and implementation of a consistent monetary policy, ensuring a balanced money market while fostering savings and investment. In order to make monetary policy transparent and sustainable, the Monetary Program is disclosed as part of the implementation process before the beginning of each year, communicating the inflation target and the projected total change in money stock. The Monetary Program is consistent with the aims of achieving a balance between money supply and demand and favoring an environment of price stability, where economic agents are able to make right decisions.
