G20 | Sandleris at the Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors

June 9, 2019. The Governor of the BCRA, Guido Sandleris, attended the G20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Fukuoka, Japan, from June 8 to June 9.

During the meeting, Sandleris and Nicolás Dujovne, Minister of Economy, held bilateral conversations with Taro Aso, Minister of Finance of Japan, and Haruhiko Kuroda, Governor of the Bank of Japan. Also, they met Christine Lagarde and David Lipton (IMF); Thomas Jordan, Governor of the Swiss National Bank; and Jens Weidmann, Governor of the Bundesbank.

Authorities of the Ministries of Finance and Central Bank Governors of the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States), Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey, among others, as well as representatives of multilateral organizations attended the meeting in Fukuoka.

The G20 offers a forum for key countries of the international financial system to analyze the main global economic problems and work together to achieve the stable and sustainable growth of worldwide economy.
