This is a commemorative coin to mark the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Central Bank of Argentina with the following characteristic features:
The center shows the effigy of “Liberty” surrounded by laurel branches and the years marking the BCRA anniversary, “1935-2005”, on the upper part. The exergue displays number “70” and the main design of the coin is surrounded by the phrase “ANIVERSARIO del BANCO CENTRAL de la REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” (ANNIVERSARY OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF ARGENTINA).
The center displays the Bank’s facade on San Martín Street surrounded by the phrase “REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” (ARGENTINE REPUBLIC); the exergue contains the face value, “1 PESO” and the coinage year, “2005”.
