Financial Inclusion Senior Management Office

To coordinate and lead the analysis of and research on financial innovation and inclusion and the creation of programs on financial and economic education to promote financial inclusion for development.

Gastón L. Repetto| Senior Manager

He graduated in Economics with honors from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA); holds a master’s degree and is a PhD candidate in Economics at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He completed graduate studies at the Economics Institute, University of Colorado at Boulder, with summa cum laude distinction.

He served as Senior Manager for the General Management Office and for the Economic Research Deputy General Management Office at the BCRA.

He won the Fulbright-LASPAU scholarship for a master’s course at UIC, the Oscar Miller Memorial Award for teaching excellence as visiting professor, and the Winifred Geldard Memorial Award for outstanding performance as a graduate student, both in the Economics Department. He is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi for his outstanding performance in master’s studies.

He worked as Economic Research Manager, Commercial Manager, and Business Development Manager at Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior (BICE), and Coordinating Manager at Corporación Buenos Aires Sur SE. He was a consultant for Fondo de Capital Social SA, for the Secretariat of Communications of Argentina, and for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He worked as an economist for the Under Secretariat of Fiscal and Economic Relations with the Provinces, which falls under the scope of the Ministry of Economy of Argentina.

In the academic field, he was a professor at various institutions: Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna in Argentina, Universidad Nacional de Luján (UNLu), and Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). He was a visiting professor at UIC and Universidad Católica de Cuyo. He was also a graduate researcher and research assistant at UIC; and served as a researcher for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), and for UNLu/National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET).
